New Product! Our double walled (extremely high quality) universal tips are made from high quality T304 stainless steel and hand crafted with high luster polish. We have both flat and slanted tips available. These are perfect for customers that still have there original exhaust but want to get rid of the original factory tips. These give you the option of having aggressive exhaust tips, without a loud performance muffler. Or they can be installed on any aftermarket exhaust.
These tips are 3 inches wide (76mm), 6 inches long, with a 2 1/4 inch inlet. Many aftermarket exhaust systems come standard with 76mm tips. These are universal tips, minor modifications may be required depending on your specific vehicle model.
DIY Installation for E46 M3:
1. Remove the factory tips by drilling out the 3 rivets on each tip. You may need to remove the bumper or rear diffuser to reach the top rivet on each factory tip. Some customers have been able to reach the top rivet without removing anything, we removed the bumper to make it easier.
2. The rear inlet on these new tips are the exact same size as the OEM tips. Once the OEM tips are removed they are a perfect fit and slide right on the OEM muffler. If you want these new tips to extend out from the muffler the exact same distance as the OEM tips you will need to cut about an 1" off the rear inlet of each new tip. However, some customers prefer the tips extending out the back slightly further than factory (no cutting is required).
3. In order to complete the installation drill the small holes in rear inlet of each new tip to match the holes on the OEM tips. Then your ready to install the tips. Once installed the tips will slightly touch each other at the very back. On the M3 (below) we installed these on this didn't cause any problems and they didn't look like they were touching unless you were looking from under the car. This is a good DIY project. Of course any muffler shop could install these with no problems. These tips can also be installed on other vehicles, not just the M3. We just used the M3 as an example. These are univeral and meant for different vehicles, unfortunately we cannot give details regarding fitment on all vehicles. Price is per single tip.
