When your Gen 1 MINI Cooper S gets into the higher miles, or you're installing a new Supercharger pulley, it's time to
start thinking about replacing your belts. If you're
installing a smaller supercharger pulley you will need a smaller belt to
reduce the slack and allow the belt tensioner to work properly. Gates belts are used by MINI as their OEM belt supplier and trusted
in racing conditions due to their high quality design.
We recommend the Gates K060539 belt when upgrading to a 15% or 17% supercharger pulley. The Gates #K060547 belt is 1/4" or 1404mm and is the Gen 1 MINI Cooper S OEM belt. Gates belt
#K060539 is 1/2" or 1385mm and works with both a 15% or 17% pulley.
