The AEM Front Mount Intercooler for the 2010+ Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T is a comprehensive, bolt-on air cooling system. AEM has included everything that is necessary for installation down to the couplers, clamps, and brackets. At the heart of the AEM FMIC is a large bar-and-plate intercooler core that was chosen to replace microscopic factory Hyundai intercooler. The AEM intercooler core is capped on both ends with cast end tanks optimized to evenly distribute airflow across the core. AEM includes new charge pipes, which are constructed from high-quality 6063-grade mandrel-bent aluminum. The hot side charge pipe connects the turbo discharge to the intercooler, the cold side goes from m the intercooler to the throttle body. As an added benefit, a mounting pad is incorporated onto the charge pipe just before the throttle body. This mounting pad can be utilized to easily plumb water/methanol injection systems into the air inlet tract. This is especially useful for high boost pressure applications and vehicles used in higher temp climates. The AEM Front Mount Intercooler Kit doubles the volume of air that the stock intercooler could handle. This massive increase in volume results into greatly improved heat transfer, which in turn significantly reduces inlet air temperatures, which, ultimately, improves horsepower.
