AEM's Genesis Cold Air Intakes (CAI) feature CNC mandrel-bent 6061 piping, tuned in both length and diameter to maximize power. Every AEM cold air intake is powder coated or polished and has TIG-welded fittings and brackets. For filtration, AEM utilizes its new reusable lightweight urethane, four-layer cotton-gauze filter that features a redesigned air horn for improved performance. While the engine compartment isn't cramped there isn't a clear short path to cooler outside air under the Genesis coupe's hood. AEM engineers got around this by designing a new washer bottle with an indention giving the intake tube the clearance needed. The re-designed washer bottle is included with the air intake. AEM's dynamometer test results show a 13 horsepower gain at 5800 RPM on the V6. AEM cold air intake kits ship complete with installation hardware, comprehensive instructions, and AEM decals.
