Drop Engineering Extended Wheel Studs are all specially forged from
Steel Alloy 4140, a steel alloy characterized by its endurance. Using
extended wheel studs permits drivers to run lower offset wheels on a
vehicle. Longer wheel studs are essential when using wheel spacers to
move a wheel further out. Drop Engineering extended wheel studs allow
drivers to reduce friction or backspacing issues on their tires without
cutting down on available threading.
Designed with performance in mind, Drop Engineering studs easily
withstand the additional stresses produced by racing conditions, namely
rapid acceleration and tight cornering. While factory studs are made
just with the tires in mind, Drop Engineering studs have more available
threading to ensure that even spaced out wheels are securely clamped to
the axle. For maximum effectiveness, use with Drop Engineering lug nuts.
