MINI Cooper R53 Tein Basic Coilovers: TEIN Type BASIC damper is for the driver that is seeking high performance with a reasonable price. The Tein Basic damper MSRP starts under $1000, which includes 4 springs and 4 shocks. Compared to the "sleeve type" coil over, the Tein Type Basic has a more exclusive set up for a better balance of suspension travel and damping force. This system is essentially the SS coilovers without upper mounts and without the 16 way damping force adjustment.
